June 3 – June 7
Jump into the world of COLOR! From the ever popular tie-dye workshops to bubble painting, melted crayon creations and more campers will love this bright week of fun! With exploration of Matisee and his collage work and even abstract self portraits using watercolors, this camp is perfect for your young artist!
Animation and Creation
June 10 – June 14
Discover the art forms behind your favorite comic book heroes, cartoon characters, and video game avengers! After exploring the different styles of illustration and animation, your young creative will be able to develop their own comic or animated short!
Dive into (WATER)color
June 17 – June 21
Summer in the south is HOT! Cool off by jumping into this water themed art camp! Ice cube painting, water squirt artwork and more! Plus learn the perfect arts and crafts for those rainy southern afternoons! No goggles or swimsuits needed for this SPLASH of arts fun!
June 24 – June 28
Did you know you can make art from the natural elements we find around our homes, yards, and parks? In this explorative art camp you’ll make your own paint from berries and flowers, practice still life drawings with natural elements, and build your own sun catcher to enjoy at home! Nature AND Art make for the perfect summer fun!
July 8 – July 12
What magic can you create from recycled materials? Tissue paper “pottery”, mason jar personalized summer lanterns, wearable tape bracelets and even art from construction materials! This week is all about creativity and creation!
Out of this World Art!
July 15 – July 19
Grab your space helmet and join GCCA for this galactic art adventure week! Make illuminated creations with glow paint, build your own model solar system or use star dust to make your very own masterpiece!
July 22 – July 26
This week is perfect for those brave young artists who want to journey back in time to the land of DINOSAURS! Campers will get to create a plushie of their favorite jurassic animal, build dioramas to show what the Upstate of South Carolina may have looked like when Dino’s roamed, and even get to find their very own fossils! Who knew you could learn so much about Dinosaurs through art?!
Back to School is COOL!
July 29 – August 2
Head back to school with your very own educational creations! Personalize and make your very own book covers, pencil holders, and reading tools, this week will celebrate the upcoming school year for your young artist!

Policies & Procedures
Register by week for art camps for children ages 5 – 8 and 9 -12. Camps are limited to 14 participants in each age group. Please register at least one week in advance of the camp start date.
A partial refund is given to students who cancel 10 days or more prior to the class start date. A cancellation fee of $30 will be applied to cancellations. If a student cancels enrollment within 10 days of the first class no refund will be given.

Please read the policies below carefully, as we will have to turn campers away who do not follow these procedures.
GCCA can ONLY be responsible for children during the hours for which they are registered. Parents and children are welcome to enter the building at the stated start time but students will not be supervised by the Instructor before or after class time.
Please come into the building to drop-off and pick-up your child. Instructors will not allow children to leave class until a parent arrives for pick-up.
It is the responsibility of all students and parents to know their sensitivities to the materials that may be used in classes and assume all risks associated with class activities including the risk of physical injury and risk of property damage or loss.
Students are responsible for their personal tools, supplies and possessions. GCCA is not responsible for items that are lost or stolen.
GCCA reserves the right to require the parent or guardian to withdraw a child from class for disruptive behavior.
Student art projects must be completed during class time. Make-up sessions for missed class time will not be offered.
Student work must be picked up on the last day of summer camp. Any work remaining on GCCA property after the last class will no longer be the responsibility of GCCA.
GCCA periodically documents educational offerings and events for promotional purposes. Registration in a course includes permission to photograph or videotape students and/or their artwork and to use the image in publicity materials unless the student parent or guardian specifically requests otherwise.
Please be sure to fill out an Emergency Contact/Medical Information form on the first day of camp.
Completed Art Projects:
Student work must be picked up the week after camp ends. We strongly recommend that you bring your child with you to help identify the project. Art projects left after the last day of Summer Art Camp Show will be discarded. Make-up sessions for missed camp time will not be offered. Art projects that are not completed during art camp must be taken home to complete – art camp instructors will not offer additional class time to complete projects.
