Instructor Proposals

GCCA instructors include both working artists and professional educators. We are looking for artists doing interesting work who are also excellent teachers. Our instructors possess a willingness to communicate technique and process, strong technical skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to teach classes that are open to a range of skill levels, from intermediate to advanced.

Teach at GCCA

GCCA hires instructors as contract employees, paid hourly for time spent in the classroom. We offer four class seasons each year, with a variety of formats—from single-day classes to five-week classes, in all forms of creative arts.

If you’re interested in teaching at GCCA, please complete our Instructor Proposal Form.

How to Apply

To be considered for a teaching position, please submit a proposal using the form below. This form helps us get to know you, your artistic practice, and your course idea. Proposals should complement, not duplicate, what’s already on our schedule. While we may not always have room for new instructors, we welcome all submissions and keep proposals on file for future consideration. After you submit your proposal, our team will review it and reach out if we’d like more information or to discuss your class idea further.
